Baring it All

Because it is truly how it feels when you post your first art work on a community website filled with extremely talented artists. It is like baring your soul to the world. Saatchi Art is an art selling platform featuring a plethora of very talented artists selling amazing artwork, to be part of such a community is a true privilege and quite frankly intimidating. I could play it cool, and act like it’s not a big deal, but it would be completely inauthentic. The pressure is even greater given the social mandate associated with my work. You can find out more by scrolling down below and also by going directly on my Saatchi Art Page.

Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by. Enjoy!

Why Own Art From RCFAP

I firmly believe that children’s mental wellness is of paramount importance. In the fast-paced world we live in, children are often left in the dust of the career, school, after hour programs, intersection sport and whatever other ways of staying busy, bandwagon, leaving many of them feeling like they can’t measure up, that no one is listening or care about them. This is why I am making it my mission to provide seven Canadian children in need, access to no conventional mental health supporting treatment through Equine Assisted Therapy, before the end of 2018.

Below are the two wonderful Equine Assisted Therapists I will be partnering with to provide this much-needed service.

Clearview Counselling Services and Equine Centre

She is also a Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Member with AAMFT (American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy).

Hidden Cedar Stables

Social Enterprising

One thing is sure in the social enterprising journey is that, you have to be flexible. You may plan to do something such as a phone call, a meeting or write a blog post, but life happens and you have to change the plan. That’s what happened today. I had planned of calling a social enterprise coach, however, the person was no longer available, and since I want things to keep moving, I suggested to send question over email. I do prefer verbal communication for these important calls, but I am willing to compromise to keep the ball rolling.

What do you think? Is it a good compromise? Any other suggestion on keeping the wheels in motion?

You Are Invited

I am inviting you on a journey, a journey through social enterprising. After three years of thinking, researching, and bouncing ideas around, I have finally taken the first step in setting up the social enterprise, by registering the business.Tomorrow, I am taking another step, by speaking with a social enterprise expert to get some guidelines. I have been wanting to provide a safe/non-conventional place for children to freely speak about their mental health. Will I succeed? Only time will tell, but I know it will require accountability to keep on track, It will require advice on the best way to provide those services, It will require encouragement when I hit roadblocks, challenges or even my own fears. And that’s where you come in to play, I am asking you to be part of that journey by being either an accountability partner, advice giver, encourager or anything you think my make this a success, will you?

If it is something that you are interested in, or if you know someone who might be, make sure you follow the Facebook page or even sign up for the newsletter. I am excited to see how it all unfolds and I really hope you will join me on this adventure.
